Lake St. Clair Smallmouth Bass Fishing Report
The lake is still dirty in most popular smallmouth fishing areas. Fish are still being caught however. Most success has come on lipless crankbaits. Makes sense with the dirty water, the fish need a chance to find a bait. Still seeing some fish caught on tubes too. Personally, I’ve caught 20 fish on a lipless for every one on a tube. Selfridge has been productive and still holds a lot of fishermen as well. We’ve fished the mile roads area and have found the best spots off of Memorial Park (look for the tent and blue seawall) and off 9 mile by Ford’s Cove. Good luck.
