Smallmouth Report
The smallmouth have been gobbling up fishflies over the last few weeks but are still hitting for fishermen. Getting reports of smallmouth from 9 mile road all the way up to Selfridge. The fish are typically from 10 feet of water and less. The smallies are being caught on tubes and other plastics; jigged and drop-shot. There are fish to be found deeper along the North and Middle Channels for those looking to fish deeper. As the fishfly hatch ends, the bass will start to transition to their summer patterns. Rest assured we’ll be bring you the reports as the bass locate cooler waters. Good luck.
