Lots of Perch Still Being Caught Along The Mile Roads

We continue to get reports of fishermen hammering the perch along the mile roads where they can legally reach the water. Lots of small perch and this may require some culling, but still fun to catch. Guys are getting some bigger perch by switching to larger baits like crappie baits. I think it’s more fun than just bobber watching anyway. I imagine these fish will continue to hug the shore until the ice comes in. Be careful out there and good luck.

Perch Close to Shore – Lake St. Clair Fishing Report

We’ve been getting reports of the perch moving in close to shore.  There have been some fishermen catching perch around the marinas between 9 & 10 Mile Roads.  Minnows have been the ticket for most.  Try from shore or get your boat out if you can.  May as well give it a try; what else do you have to do? Good Luck Fishermen and be safe.

Lake St. Clair Perch Fishing Report

We’ve got some good reports of perch being caught just south of the St. Clair light and out from the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. Most reports have come from out by the shipping channel and guys have been using minnows.  Make sure you take plenty as you may need to go through some smaller perch to get the jumbos.  Get out there early as most of the perch are coming in the morning and then tapering off throughout the day.  Good luck fishermen.
