Lake St. Clair Smallmouth Fishing Report

Well the smallmouth fishing is hot right now.  Where are the smallies? They are everywhere! Lots of fish being caught off the Mile Roads. Lots of smallmouth being caught off of Selfridge and plenty in the flats in and around Muscamoot. Most guys are fishing the usual baits of tubes in greens and blues.  Lots of fish also being taken using jerkbaits as well. You just can’t miss right now, so get out and start throwing some baits.  Now is the time to catch big 5-6 lb smallies. Good luck and be safe.

Lake St. Clair Smallmouth Bass Fishing Report

Smallmouth fishing report from the weed beds in front of Metro in 7-9 feet of water. Reports of some decent success on 8/27. The beds are straight out from the daysail/PWC launch. One report stated picked up 6 fish ranging from 2.5 – 4 pounds in about an hour. Water was a bit dirty and we were pitching green pumpkin w/chartreuse tubes around the edges of the beds. Good luck.
